چکیده
Abstract This paper describes a method for measuring the longitudinal wake potential of the Cornell Electron-Positron Storage Ring (CESR). The longitudinal wake potential was determined by measuring the time delay between successive bunches as a function of current. The slope of the wake potential was determined by the changes in the bunch length as a function of bunch current. A theoretical description of the experiment and the measurements performed is provided in this paper.
